Sophie is an academically trained anthropologist and an experienced practitioner in applying social science methods and theories to real world contexts. She specialises in a range of qualitative methods, including ethnography, observation and diary studies, focus groups, digital community forums and interviews.
Sophie’s projects have spanned multiple contexts including Government, health insurance, media and financial services and across a range of topics such as biosecurity, employee experience, ESG and corporate reputation. She has worked both as an independent freelancer and for large global consulting organisations and is able to balance robust insights with practical research design and timeframes. She is highly collaborative and committed to achieving successful outcomes for clients.
At SEC Newgate, Sophie has worked with public and private sector clients and been instrumental in providing insights for the company’s ESG Monitor thought leadership and understanding the shifting community expectations of corporate Australia.
