Kathy O’Donoghue is a Senior Adviser at SEC Newgate with more than 25 years’ experience providing policy, program and campaign advice to government, NGOs and NFPs.
Kathy is one of Australia’s leading behaviour change experts and a specialist in applying behaviour change theory to the development and implementation of national behaviour change strategies. She has designed and delivered behaviour change training for senior executives within the public sector for more than a decade and has represented both her organisation and clients at a broad range of high profile public forums and launch events.
Within SEC Newgate, Kathy is responsible for providing high quality, evidence-based, strategic advice to government. Kathy specialises in key social policy areas including family and domestic violence, respectful relationships and sexual consent, child safety, community cohesion, the National Disability Insurance Scheme, aged care reform and preventative health. Kathy is an expert in conducting research with vulnerable audiences, including victims and perpetrators of violence, people with disabilities, First Nations Peoples, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse audiences, those from low socio/economic backgrounds, children and young people.
Kathy is an Australian Company Director and has more than a decade of experience in Board and Global Management Team positions. Prior to joining, Kathy was Co-CEO of Verian Group across the APAC region (formerly Kantar Public).
